You should wash the panini before its first use. Before cleaning the appliance, unplug it and wait until it has completely cooled down. Clean the exterior with a slightly damp cloth only, ensuring that no moisture, oil, or grease enters the cooling slots. To clean the plates, you can leave them in the appliance or remove them (to do this, press down on the plate release buttons located near the handle and remove them). Do not clean the interior or exterior with an abrasive pad or steel wool as they will damage the finishing. Do not immerse the product in water or other liquids.
